Personal Profile

Therapeutic Recreation and Community Engagement is owned and operated by Amanda Chamberlain, a licensed and certified Recreational Therapist with over 30 years of personal and professional experience. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families to participate meaningfully in their communities. Amanda's journey began with a deep commitment to inclusion and equality at a young age. She was inspired by watching her neighbor thrive in adapted sports as well as advocate for herself within her school and community environments. Amanda spent her teen years volunteering at a local summer camp that offered day and residential camp for people with disabilities. This summer camp made such a profound impact on her that she decided to continue this work and explore a career in Recreational Therapy. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire, where she focused on therapeutic recreation. In 2010, Amanda moved permanently to New Hampshire where she started a job at a local school district. She is excited to continue this important work and make positive impact on the lives of clients and their families.
